So naturally we have had howling gales, lashing rain and snow. We have put up one of our new green 2 door yurts (and discovered the design error on our new style raincap when we found one of the 'arms' came down right in front of the second door). Oops, back to the drawing board Peter - this one could be a real puzzle since some have off centre left doors and some right.
dragging things out - they might be small on size but they are more trouble than all my lovely Jacobs put together so I've decided they must go after lambing (maybe that's why they aren't obliging). Maisy, my handreared ewe (pictured as a tiny lamb on the Who We Are page) has had twins - a bonny girl and a little tiny handbag sized boy who is forever getting lost. She is a casual mother and if they don't keep up - tough!
As well as offering yurt holidays, this year we will be progressing the courses and I was delighted to hear from someone we sold a yurt to a couple of years ago who remembered I had alpaca and jacob fleeces - she is a design student and is making a felt room installation for her final graduation - she is going to run a felt making course here in the Autumn which should be terrific fun - details will be posted soon on the Hidden Valley Yurts site.
