Everyone keeps saying what an awful summer this is but here in our valley we seem to have a micro climate all of our own and so far we have only had one weekend when our poor guests had 3 solid days of rain. Apart from that it's been odd days (having one today though which is why I'm writing this). Cannot believe how busy we are - considering we didn't start advertising until the end of May, this week has been amazing - we only have a handful of breaks left - and we already have bookings for 2009.
Yurt viewings are steady - with the huge interest in yurt camping we are getting a steady stream of enquiries and viewings - so many that we are thinking of running a course on setting up a yurt campsite - let me know if this appeals. Oh and if you are after a bargain we have decided to sell off all the holiday let yurts at the end of October - about a £1000 off the list price and only up since May - one is already sold but No's 1 - 4 are available to reserve.
On the subject of dreams, moving here was definately a case of 'be careful what you wish for' - I wanted a bigger garden because we only had 1/2 an acre - we were looking for about 8 - hmm, not quite sure how I got talked into 82 - the garden alone is more than 8 acres - well, garden in a very loose sense of the word - and while I'm not fanatical about the odd weed, trying to keep this amount under control is daunting ......so my latest dream features muscle bound chaps with hoes and spades - and this time if I get 10 times what I wish for then I certainly won't complain.
