Top 40

It reveals my age when I think of the top 40 as the Sunday run down of the pop chart - this one though, is us included in the Times Top 40 UK campsites - so we are feeling quite chuffed but although its nice to be picked we still feel our best reviews are the number of guests who are coming back – the May bank holiday saw every yurt occupied by returning guests – the third visit for some.

My buff orpingtons have both gone broody and we hatched some silver dorking eggs - they are so pretty - but springer spaniel, Tilly is obsessed with them so they have had to be caged and she spends her days stalking around the pen - we are hoping she loses interest in time!

I'm determined this year to get the veg garden sorted, and I finally managed to get some seeds sown and we started to plant up some mini veg gardens around each yurt. The raspberries won't be properly established until next year, but each yurt has a wigwam of beans and some large pots of salad leaves for this summer.
Yurt sales are proving very busy too, so there will be a few more yurt campsites to add to the website in the next few months, this month sees Willow Farm in Dorset setting up their first yurt - good luck Martin and Gwen http://www.hiddenvalleyyurts.co.uk/Links.html
