Pizza not so Express

When we built the woodburning pizza oven we did wonder whether it would prove too difficult but we clearly underestimated the determination of our intrepid yurters. The real trick to success is using hard wood - oak being the best as it burns hot, but despite our 43 acres of woodland, we have hardly any so can only supply larch which means lighting the fire 2 - 3 hours ahead of when you need it......still, that's one of the joys of being on holiday - time to do something you wouldn't have time to do at home.
We've been spoilt with sitings this year of the kingfisher - we put 3 posts around our lake and have loved watching him fliting from post to post - then one morning he decided to pay Peter a visit in his office and posed like a true celeb for me to take photographs. As he strutted back and fore along the balcony rail he moved just like a penguin.
